About the Role
Our client is seeking a passionate and dedicated Veterinary Officer to join a dairy farm in Emali with approximately 70 dairy cows. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining herd health, improving animal productivity, and ensuring the highest standards of animal welfare.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain the health of the dairy herd.
- Diagnose, treat, and prevent animal diseases.
- Develop and implement vaccination and deworming programs.
- Provide reproductive health and breeding support.
- Advise on proper nutrition, feeding, and herd management.
- Maintain accurate veterinary treatment and health records.
- Ensure compliance with animal health and welfare standards.
- Work closely with the farm management team to improve productivity.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Veterinary Medicine and Surgery.
- Graduates from Egerton University are highly encouraged to apply.
- Must be registered or eligible for registration with the relevant professional body.
- Passion for animal health and dairy farming.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a farm environment.
