Junior Laravel Developer
Lendara Credit is looking for a motivated and technically curious Junior Laravel Developer with a strong foundation in PHP and Laravel to join its technology team.
The successful candidate will help build, maintain, and improve web applications and services while working closely with other members of the technology team. Candidates with practical projects, GitHub work, internships, coursework, freelance experience, or demonstrable personal development projects are encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain web applications using PHP and Laravel.
- Build, integrate, and work with REST APIs.
- Develop new features based on technical requirements.
- Work with MySQL or PostgreSQL databases.
- Write clean, readable, and maintainable code.
- Debug and resolve application errors and technical issues.
- Write and maintain basic automated tests.
- Use Git for version control and collaborative development.
- Work closely with frontend developers and other members of the technology team.
- Assist with application deployment and troubleshooting.
- Follow coding standards, security practices, and development guidelines.
- Continuously learn and improve technical skills.
Requirements
- 0–2 years of software development experience, including internships, personal projects, freelance work, or professional experience.
- Good knowledge of PHP.
- Working knowledge of Laravel.
- Understanding of MVC architecture.
- Basic understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP).
- Knowledge of building or consuming REST APIs.
- Working knowledge of MySQL or PostgreSQL.
- Familiarity with Git and Git-based workflows.
- Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Good debugging and problem-solving skills.
- Basic understanding of application security and data validation.
- Ability to work effectively within a development team.
- Strong willingness to learn, receive feedback, and grow technically.
Good to Have
- Knowledge of Laravel queues, jobs, events, notifications, and scheduling.
- Familiarity with PHPUnit or Pest.
- Basic knowledge of Docker.
- Familiarity with Linux.
- Experience integrating third-party APIs.
- Basic knowledge of Redis or caching.
- Exposure to Vue.js, React, or another frontend framework.
- Basic understanding of CI/CD and application deployment.
- Exposure to AWS or other cloud platforms.
